About Sylvia Yang

Hey there, it’s a pleasure to connect with you here. I'm Sylvia Yang, throughout my 12-year marketing career across the APAC region, I've had the privilege of supporting over 20+ international brands such as SK-II, Armani Beauty, Prada Beauty etc. I've lived in mainland China, HongKong and currently in Singapore. I've worked across the Luxe, beauty, FMCG, and travel industries, driving both brand awareness and business growth, and specialising in strategy, digital, and integrated marketing.

Now please allow me to share a bit more about myself, and the passion that has fueled my professional journey.

My journey started in the startup world, where I enjoyed the process of building teams and projects from scratch. Then at Edelman, I blended public relations with event execution, leading to successful integrated marketing campaigns, and a deeper dive into digital marketing.

At P&G, I developed digital marketing investment models, and also learned how to utialize different digital channels and tools to tell compelling stories for luxury skincare brand. This contributed to SK-II’s 3 year business growth in China, APAC and Japan, and No.1 brand awareness in mainland China.

Later, I moved to Hong Kong and then Singapore. At L’Oréal APAC, travel retail. With a great team, we use data and content to boost e-commerce traffic and improve digital performance for 19 makeup, skincare, and fragrance brands across the APAC region, focusing on mainland China, Korea, Singapore and other SEA market, while incorporating AI and CRM tool to recruit new customers.

Among the vast array of “professional skills package” , I enjoyed particularly in 2 things: data analysis, and a blend of passion and sincerity.

I believe that data is crucial, it’s the magic world that helping us to find insights, discover channels, and drive growth. Passion and sincerity, on the other hand, bring motivation and trust, fundamental for any brand or business’s long-term development.

Outside of work, I’m a part time Yoga teacher, podcast host, voice over actor, and friend who always enjoy genuine connection and conversation.
